Colin Mari

Editor - 2022 Inductee

Colin extended his wealth of knowledge across multiple sports, serving as both the baseball and football editor. He ensured all articles were edited timely and remained precise in his editing process, delivering the highest quality of articles. He extended this knowledge to his own journalism, as well, when he and I collaborated to write the longest article of the year, an NFL Mock Draft. Throughout that process, I witnessed first-hand how hardworking and well-versed he is about the NFL and incoming prospects. It was a pleasure working with him all year and he’s good for a football debate whenever you’d like! - Cameron Schoffro, 2021-2022 Director of Journalism

RYAN HUMPHREY

Journalist - 2021 Inductee

Ryan's hockey analysis was outstanding; he effectively integrated the often-complicated advanced metrics into his articles and contextualized them for the readers' benefit. He made the editor's job easy with his smooth writing style and hockey expertise, requiring very few edits. Ryan kept readers up to date on recent news in the NHL, with five hockey articles spanning from trade rumours to full team breakdowns. He proved to be knowledgeable about every NHL team since his articles provided full league coverage. Due to his passion for hockey, Ryan is a deserving inductee into the first-ever HOF class. - Cameron Schoffro, 2020-2021 Hockey Editor

ROBIN VAN PAASSEN

Journalist - 2021 Inductee

A late entry into the soccer journalist lineup, Robin was quick to prove his special talent from the jump. He not only provided the greatest quantity of soccer articles, but with superior quality as well. Bringing such unique topics, deep dives, and statistics to back up his sagacious claims, it was evident Robin had a passion for the sport and a head full of great ideas. With the distinctive imagery and flow Robin infused in his writing, it came as no surprise that his articles were among the most liked and viewed on MSSA’s website this school year. Spearheading with such consistency and determination, he is surely the Lewandowski of MSSA’s journalists this year and holds a well-deserved spot in the HOF. - Irtaza Khan, 2020-2021 Soccer Editor

MATTHEW CONCIATORI

Journalist - 2021 Inductee

Matthew's knowledge of many sports and quality of writing made him one of the most accomplished journalists in the MSSA. He displayed his breadth of knowledge by writing for four different sports: basketball, football, hockey, and soccer. Throughout the year, Matthew's work ethic was unparalleled; he was the most published journalist in the MSSA, with eight total articles. He didn't restrict himself to analysis, Matt often told a bigger story than what was on the court or field. Congratulations, Matthew, you certainly deserve this honour. - Cameron Schoffro, 2020-2021 Hockey Editor

CAMERON SCHOFFRO

Editor - 2021 Inductee

In a year full of bright spots for MSSA journalism, Cameron consistently found ways to keep shining brighter. Not only did Cameron edit articles easily, quickly and well, but he always kept his standards high, and made sure that every article was of high quality. 2020 was a demotivating year for many, yet Cameron managed to push his journalists to produce more articles than any other sport. On top of his editorial duties, Cameron managed to push out several articles himself. The articles were very impressive, seemingly professionally written. He has proven to be far more than a skilled editor, showing leadership, communication skills, and motivation. Congratulations on this achievement, it is well deserved! - Jovan Popovic, 2020-2021 VP of Journalism
